A breath of fresh air
in health care.

Our team is available to stitch, staple and/or treat minor injuries like lacerations, cuts and abrasions, infected wounds and minor burns.

We can tend to breaks, fractures, sprains, strains and tendonitis and have an expert on staff to handle the urgent removal of foreign objects. We also have same day, last minute walk in space for treatment of minor illnesses  like strep throat, urinary tract infections, pink eye or health evaluations necessary for  returning children to school at the end of an illness.

Our clinic has on-site digital X-ray services for adults and children. Imaging services are handled in-house, which means you never have to travel for an X-ray, and your results are interpreted while you wait. Additionally, your X-rays are over-read by board certified radiologists to further ensure that you have received the most accurate diagnosis and best possible treatment plan. Right here, right now, we can  provide radiology services for orders prescribed by physicians not affiliated with our clinic or supply a necessary follow-up. No need to make a trip to the city or endure hospital waits.

We take great pride in offering our patients the convenience of a state-of-the-art, in-house lab equipped to handle a wide range of medical tests, making it possible in most cases to obtain immediate and important results. Our experienced professionals are committed to delivering a superior level of patient care by  testing samples rapidly and accurately to provide your doctor with the information needed to form a diagnosis and treatment plan. Doctor’s orders from another clinic are welcome and walk-in labs are not a problem.

Nurse on Duty

Our nurses are an integral part of the medical care and attention afforded each patient. Two RN’s and three LPN’s, along with three medical assistants  are here to provide the following services: Blood pressure checks, evaluation by a nurse to see if a patient needs to be seen by a provider, wound care evaluation and management. These services are reimbursable by most insurance.

Appreciation / Retirement Party

We would like to invite all patients and friends of Dr. Long’s clinic to come for a day of appreciation to you for the past 55 years of your friendship. We will also be celebrating Dr. Long’s retirement after 55 years of service to this community with hamburgers for all.

The party will be on Apr. 30, 2019, at the clinic.

We will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. that day. Please stop by and celebrate with us.

Meet Your Primary Care Physicians

No matter your age, gender or health history, it’s important to develop and maintain a relationship with a primary care physician. Your primary care doctor who sees you regularly for checkups will know you and your medical history. As a result, he or she will be able to act as your go-to source for information and support regarding long-term and chronic health concerns, including nutrition, stress management and mental health. Your relationship with and your visits to your primary care physician are part of an overall health management and prevention plan that’s important for your present and future health. Comprehensive care is available even for the youngest in your family. Our providers treat infants and children, and are available to see your child for a host of concerns, including fevers, colds, stomach pain, ear aches and more.

Dr. Curtis W. Long, MD

Only about ten percent of physicians practice in rural America, despite the fact that nearly one-fourth of the population lives in these areas. The challenges are unique, but “Doc Long,” a pioneer in rural health care, provides an array of essential services to rural patients and prefers the country living to big city opportunities. He enjoys the small town familiarity of a rural community and considers it a privilege to help them receive the care not otherwise readily available. Dr. Curtis W. Long completed an internship at General Hospital in 1963, with an emphasis in obstetrics and surgery. More than 50 years, 10,000 surgical operations, 4,000 baby deliveries and countless patients later, the good doctor is still practicing in the place where he and his wife Ann came to settle. Doc loves this community and likes the fact that he can get out of his office and in five minutes be on his farm. He continues to practice medicine in order to help people and enjoys tackling problem cases where others have not been able to provide answers for his patients. Dr. Long was recognized by the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Medicine for developing a residents training program that teaches physicians the skills necessary for bringing comprehensive care to rural areas. And in 2010 was honored as the Missouri Family Physician of the Year.
